POWER Founder and Board Chair, Obioma Liyel-Imoke is a seasoned Chief Executive Officer with extensive professional experience that spans more than two decades in top management and leadership positions. In her quest to see a society where all women are able to meet their basic needs, Obioma Liyel Imoke established Women Development & Child Protection Centre – WODAC – a not for profit nongovernmental organization with two key programs, POWER – Partnership Opportunities for Women Empowerment Realization and MACA – Mothers Against Child Abandonment.

With these two programs, she facilitated capital campaigns that collectively raised over $2.16m and partnered with Plan International USA and the MacArthur foundation under the PSIPSE projects to eradicate extreme poverty among women through evidence-driven livelihood enhancement initiatives, enterprise development, and capacity building.
